NETGEAR New Breakthrough- 4K60 4:4:4 No Latency IP-based solutions
On May 8, 2018, NETGEAR INC. (Nasdaq code: NTGR) dedicated to provide global business enterprise and individual home users with more innovative products and high quality intelligent network solutions, launches the SDVoE alliance based solutions – 4K 60 4:4:4 . The Video over IP comes in the form of no latency and low bandwidth, successfully migrate to the IP network, thus solving the worldwide problems like video compression, bandwidth usage and application cost in the process of IP-based 4K HD video. NETGEAR recently launched this solution at Beijing Yutang mountain villa and built up a visiting experience environment on site. More than 100 medias and industry participants were invited to attend the event.

The SDVoE alliance is a non-profit consortium of technology providers collaborating to standardize the adoption of Ethernet to transport AV signals and to create a platform allowing software to define AV applications.
NETGEAR, as a 20 year old brand networked manufacturer since its establishment, provides SDVoE great support with 4K UHD AV Networked technology with the use of the latest Silicon Valley technology and previous experience on networked voice, video and monitoring.
The traditional 4K60 4:4:4 HD Video is usually transmitted by HDMI technology due to its 16G bandwidth usage. Now HDMI's high bandwidth and low latency are widely recognized and welcomed by the industry. With the popularization of the Internet of things and the application of all kinds of distributed systems, the application of professional AV also becomes remote control and distribution deployment. However, the short distance (15m) and unmanageability of HDMI have become the bottleneck of development. In order to migrate the 4K60 4:4:4 video to IP network, many other technologies have to forgone the video quality by compressing it greatly, even as low as to 1G below data flow which causes high latency with low quality. Obviously, the results are not what users we can undertake it.
The SDVoE alliance has breakthrough this technical bottleneck with a uncompressed 4K60 4:4:4 HD video to 10Gbps, and maintain the quality of 4K60 4:4:4, with bandwidth guarantee and delay calibration. Therefore, Any 4K60 4:4:4 UHD videos and equipments are able to migrate to the IP network smoothly. 4K UHD AV network has become a software defined network that can distribute deployment, remote control and management, randomly scalable. Without exaggeration, this is a milestone of AV networking.
At this display, there were a total of 6pcs 55’’ Splicing screens used for the 4K Video wall. Each splicing screen is connected to DANACOID’s SDVoE decoders through HDMI cable. Moreover, there were two 4K players used as the video sources, also connected to DANACOID’s SDVoE encoders through HDMI cable. All encoders and decoders were connected by NETGEAR Switch M4300-96X, while the video control platform is operated by table PC via Orbi PRO’s Wi-Fi.

AV networked core switch M4300-96X
The key role in this solution is the switch matrix M4300-96X which is specially designed for 4K UHD AV application by NETGEAR.
M4300-96X is the IP switch matrix specially designed for SDVoE UHD AV.
On the hardware aspect, M4300-96X adopts brick pattern module design and provides four types of interfaces including 10G SFP+ Fiber interface, 10GBase-T electrical interface, 10GBase-T PoE+ Electrical interface and QSFP+ 40G interface in order to meet the requirements of various interfaces in the process of AV/IP network. It can be achieved by M4300-96X, whether it is 80km long distance or the copper access in the floor.
On the software aspect, M4300 series fully considering the AV systems engineers in their professional field, all kinds of IP network settings that required in the process of migrating AV to IP network and docking with SDVoE linkage products of various functions can be presetting inside M4300 that makes the system play and plug while AV system engineer just need to focus on their own AV set-up and deployment
